iHeartRadio claims “there’s nothing like YouNow” when it comes to connecting with their fans. The internet radio company has acquired almost 150,000 fans on the streaming site— surpassing all other brands—by using the platform to recreate “the radio tradition of having meet-and-greets with artists at scale.” Broadcasting at least monthly, iHeartRadio allows fans to interact with artists in real time, and holds contests where fans can perform for their favorite musicians through a split screen. One contest giving fans the chance to beatbox for Charlie Puth received almost 73,000 views and 56,000 likes. (Digiday)
