Looks like athleisure is here to stay. The category of high-fashion sportswear—worth $270 billion globally—has boosted retail by 4.1% over the past six years, and despite the growing number of fashion retailers taking on the trend, data platform Edited says the market is “far from saturated.” Their recent analysis found the top five most popular athleisure brands stocked online are traditional labels Nike, Under Armour, Adidas Performance, Asics, and Adidas, but that non-traditional retailers with more affordable options are resonating with consumers almost as much.
