In an “incredibly crowded” TV marketplace where “live audiences have dwindled,” studios are taking new steps to create buzz around shows. To make upcoming series Marvel’s The Inhumans a “must-see event,” ABC will debut the show’s first episodes on Imax’s big screens exclusively for two weeks before running it on the network in “typical prime-time fashion.” Imax hopes the content, shot entirely with Imax cameras and described as a “family action-adventure with signature Marvel humor,” will draw viewers to theatres during the fall season.
