In 2020, students could be connecting with those outside of the classroom, not just by sneaking texts, but digitally interacting with other teachers, students, and experts like authors and scientists to enhance lessons. The traditional structure of higher education could also shift, as the student debt crisis may put pressure on institutions to unbundle degree offerings and provide more specialized programs that focus on real-world challenges over in-school learning.
