Teens today are on a non-rebellious streak: they’re drinking less, smoking less pot, and according to a new study they’re also waiting longer to have sex. From 2011 to 2013, 44% of female teens and 47% of male teens 15-19-years-old had done the deed, percentages that have dropped significantly in the last 25 years. The research reveals their reasons for delaying include religious beliefs, and increased knowledge of the dangers of teen pregnancy and STDs. They’re also having safer sex, with the majority using protection for their first time. (NYMag)
