U.S. colleges are undergoing a wave of program cuts.Along with an overall frustration of degree programs getting cut, students are facing financial strain after selecting schools based on their offerings. In turn, student loans and other expenses are being impacted as some are forced to change degrees or even schools.Β While some schools allow students to complete their degrees before the cuts take effect, many provide little to no notice, leaving students uncertain about their options afterwards. For years, colleges have been holding off on these cuts, but this unfortunate trend is increasing, especially among humanities and smaller programs trying to make ends meet among budget challenges.
