There will be a mindfulness space for Olympians in Paris—a first in the history of the Games. The 15K athletes competing in the Paris Olympics this year will have access to the Athletes365 Mind Zone. Sponsored by Powerade, this space is designed to help them “relax, recharge and mentally prepare.” Mental health professionals will offer exercises to the Olympians including gratitude writing, breathing exercises, and even virtual reality mindfulness. The Games’ organizers said that protecting the athletes’ mental health is a key focus of the Olympics this year. (Olympics.com)
