Biden appealed to young Black voters at an HBCU commencement.

May 22 2024

Biden appealed to young Black voters at an HBCU commencement. At Morehouse College, a private historically Black, men’s, liberal arts college in Georgia, Biden spoke to graduates about the war in Gaza, book bans, and “falsehoods” about masculinity. And given recent protests across college campuses, in addition to recent polls showing Black male voters moving away from Biden, the White House hoped the speech would have positive impact. Biden said he’s “working on a deal” for an “immediate ceasefire,” which student speeches echoed a demand for. (CNN)
