The majority of Gen Z is willing to walk away from a job that does not align with their personal beliefs. Young people are especially susceptible to financial challenges, facing substantial student loan debt, economic downturns, and inflation as they begin their careers. But that does not mean they aren’t being a little choosy when it comes to the company they give their time and skills to. A recent survey by United Way of the National Capital Area found 53% of Gen Z would decline a job opportunity if the employer’s mission did not align with their sociopolitical beliefs. And closely behind Gen Z, about half of older gens also indicated that they would reject a job offer if it did not align with their personal beliefs. (Fortune)
