Personal mental health struggles impact Americans’ hope for the future of the country.

Mar 06 2024

Personal mental health struggles impact Americans’ hope for the future of the country. While the majority of Americans across demographics feel hopeful for the future of themselves, their family, and their community, far fewer are hopeful for the country’s future and making progress on “major societal and global challenges.” And while American adults under 30-years-old are generally less hopeful, those who say their personal mental health is good are actually the most hopeful for their country’s future. It appears the lower average is driven by a larger number saying their mental health is poor, which correlates with lower hope for the future overall. (Fortune)
