The U.K. wants to raise a smoke-free generation.

The U.K. wants to raise a smoke-free generation. The British government is on its way to completely banning the sales of cigarettes to people born after 2009 (currently 14-years-and-younger). The proposed legislation would make the U.K. the first country to implement such a generational ban on tobacco. But the industry is lobbying hard for the bill not to pass in Parliament—of course. We know from YPulse’s Health and Fitness report that only 17% of 13-39-year-old Brits smoke cigarettes weekly or more as it is. (Reuters)
