The Sopranos is taking over TikTok with micro-episodes  Gen Z has fully embraced The Sopranos. (Nostalgia rewatches aren’t just for Friends!) Lockdown-induced downtime led to an increase in viewership across gens since 2020, with Gen Z particularly finding the show’s dark humor, fashion aesthetics (more on this below), and authentic storytelling most appealing. Now, they can theoretically watch whole seasons in a matter of minutes right on their TikTok feed: to capitalize on the fact that it’s The Sopranos 25th anniversary in 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery is sharing 25-second recaps of each episode on a new TikTok account, which has already racked up more than 40K followers. The aim is to entice new viewers to binge-watch the iconic show by delivering key moments in “bite-sized packages,” which we know is already a huge trend among young viewers.
