Zalando is expanding its AI fashion assistant to the U.K. Zalando is a major actor in the retail industry in Western Europe, with YPulse’s Shopping and Retail report showing it’s the third place Gen Z and Millennials like to buy clothing from. A few months ago, the German online retailer experimented with a ChatGPT feature allowing users to have a “conversational experience” on the platform, and is now bringing the AI feature to the U.K. Users can ask questions to the chatbot about what to wear, what specific brand or style they like, and the fashion assistant will then share relevant items with them—yes, just like a personal shopping assistant would do.
