A German brand released a scary AI-generated ad to raise awareness about the many unintended consequences of sharing kids’ images on social media. Deutsche Telekom, a telecommunications company, decided to create a video featuring a young girl to highlight the negative effects of social media and deepfake technology. The AI tech was used to change the girl’s appearance and voice to create an older version of herself to address directly to her parents. The video raises awareness about the potential dangers and risks associated with social media use, such as online harassment and the spread of misinformation.
