Spain is considering implementing a €20K “universal inheritance” allowance for all young Spaniards. Politicians in Spain want every young person in the country to receive a lump sum of €20K when turning 18, in a remarkable effort to fight inheritance inequalities. If put into law, Spanish Gen Z could use this money for studies, professional training, or even to start their own business. Data from YPulse’s WE Finance / Spending Monitor Report shows that 25% of young Spaniards have debt / owe money. (The Guardian)
