Earlier this month—just in time for Pride—YPulse released an LGBTQ+ Youth special report, looking into the differences our data reveals that make LGBTQ+ youth in North America different from other young consumers. Now, it’s time to look at LGBTQ+ in Western Europe and see what differs from their non-LGBTQ+ and North American peers. YPulse has collected more than 43K interviews among 13-39-year-old LGBTQ+ respondents in Western Europe in the last year across behavioural reports, trend reports, and brand tracking; making our data up-to-date and relevant for brands that want to know more about LGBTQ+ youth. And as our data shows these young people make up 20% of the population in Western Europe, it’s important brands don’t ignore or neglect this demographic. When it comes to exactly how they identify, a third of European Gen Z and Millennials say they identify as bisexual, 11% as gay, 9% as lesbian, and 3% as other sexualities.
