Recommended Brands Report

Recommendations from young consumers can make or break a brand’s success. But while it’s no new trend for young consumers to want the products their peers own, word of mouth has a new meaning with these gens. And word of mouth is so important to their purchasing path that YPulse even devoted our most recent trend report Influencers Anonymous to unpack this new era of it—especially the power that regular people on social media have when recommending brands. But what can brands do to get Gen Z’s golden endorsement?

YPulse’s Brand Tracker asks young people what brands they’re recommending to others, so we know exactly what brands they’re telling their peers to buy—face-to-face or through their social feeds. In this report, we’ll further break down what qualities a brand needs to have to get Gen Z to recommend them. Plus, which brands are winning over specific demographics of young consumers and why.

  • Top 50 recommended brands ranking among 13-39-year-olds
  • Top recommended brands ranking among teens, young adults, Millennials, young POC, parents, LGBTQ+ and Western Europe countries
  • Spotlights on brands with high recommended ratings and what they're doing right

Report length: 32 pages, based on YPulse’s syndicated youth brand tracker data “Recommended” ratings collected daily from the YPulse Brand Tracker between 02/06/2023-02/04/2024 among a representative sample of 130,941 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada in North America.
