Looking at monthly spending averages, the top spending categories for each group speaks to their current ages—groceries vs hanging out with friends, for example. Among younger Millennials, the number spending monthly on experiences and video games has increased, while more Gen Z teens are spending monthly on personal care items and personal care services in comparison to last year.
