Young consumers may be driven by similar values to the generations before them, but which life stage they’re in makes them spend their money a bit differently.  Looking at monthly spending averages, the top spending categories for each group speaks to their current ages—groceries vs hanging out with friends, for example. Among younger Millennials, the number spending monthly on experiences and video games has increased, while more Gen Z teens are spending monthly on personal care items and personal care services in comparison to last year.
