NIVEA and Channel 4 are using the noughties to teach Gen Z a few life lessons. The two have collabed on a new show, “Fresh from the Noughties with Miquita Oliver.” It’s a social experiment that follows three Gen Z participants as they step into the world of the early 2000s for 48 hours—and naturally, get a little help from Millennials who know the time best along the way. On top of immersing them into the style and culture of the time, there’s some challenges, a.k.a. their own personalized “noughties reset,” that are designed to tackle very modern struggles around confidence, friendship, dating, and self-expression. Read: They have to go without their phones and talk to people IRL—eek! The experiment asks whether lessons previous gens learned during that time, like building IRL connections and worrying less about perfection, can help Gen Z rethink their mindset, too. (Channel 4)
