Butter is getting the luxury treatment in Paris. Le Butter Shop, deemed “the city’s first boutique devoted entirely to butter,” opened last month just a short distance away from the Eiffel Tower. With around 30 varieties, the store’s lineup runs from familiar favorites to more unexpected savory flavors like shallot and seaweed alongside sweeter options like vanilla and strawberry. The tiny shop has already become a social media draw, bringing in tourists, food professionals, and curious locals alike. And France is certainly the right place for a butter-focused concept, with the country consuming 8 kilograms (18 lbs.) per person each year, according to the agriculture ministry. It’s also right in line with YPulse’s prediction that in 2026 young Europeans would invest more in top-quality foods, and, yes, high-end butter. (AP News)
