Adults ran the full social media press junket for season two.

Adults ran the full social media press junket for season two. Lead actors Jack Innanen and Owen Thiele have been appearing on all the hits of social interview shows: “Are You Okay?,” “Streethearts,” “Gaydar,” “Recess Therapy,” and more—but not only in real life. The show built this new generation of man-on-the-street shows into an episode where Innanen’s character visits all the same hosts, going by their real series’ names. It’s exactly the kind of reference that hits for Gen Z because it’s not making fun of the things they like to watch. While it starts with Innanen’s character complaining he has “man-on-the-street face” and a Canadian inability to say no to content creators, he ultimately uses them to speak positively about queer culture. (Just as many of these shows do in reality!) Sure, there are some fake, more bizarre on-the-street shows in the episode, but blending the real shows as marketing and canon proves Adults actually knows the young people they’re depicting.
