Curology is turning Walmart shelves into a funnel for prescription skincare.

Curology is turning Walmart shelves into a funnel for prescription skincare. The brand’s new Prescription Acne Kit is converting shoppers to a medical consultation and prescription at five times the rate it sees online. And now in 1K Walmart stores, it’s pulling in largely new patients rather than just shifting existing subscribers to a new channel. The $24.97 kit pairs non-prescription cleanser and moisturizer with a code for a personalized Rx after a sub-seven-minute online consult, and promises meds shipped within 24 hours. Walmart has folded the kit into its Fall Beauty Event and back-to-college assortment, betting that students—who are shopping for skincare routines that fit “how they’re living”—are primed to want dermatologist-backed treatment without the traditional derm-office hurdle.
