The Winter Olympics’ weasels are being dubbed the “first openly Gen Z” mascots. Milo and Tina are a pair of sibling stoats representing the host cities Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, and they’re bringing irreverent, experience-driven teen energy. Tina is a creative city kid who loves concerts and always returns to the mountains in winter. Milo is the paralympic mascot, a mountain-dwelling prankster who was born without a paw and learned to walk using his tail. The concept came from a pool of 1.6K Italian schoolkids’ submissions and is a deliberate play to make the Games feel younger and more personal. (NPR)
