Gen Z’s party girl culture is being decked out in Mirror Palais. The brand, known for slinky, barely-there frocks beloved by Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter, has become the go-to label for “women under 30-years-old who are extremely online.” Just as Millennials reached for Hervé Léger’s iconic bandage dresses for a night out, Gen Z celebs and influencers are turning to Mirror Palais for their going-out looks. Founder Marcelo Gaia built the brand on TikTok virality and a preorder model, designing based on audience reaction. The aesthetic is unabashedly sexy and hyper-feminine, including shimmery gowns, strategic lace, and tasteful flashes of skin. Of course, dupes have flooded fast-fashion sites for the regular consumers, but it’s worth noting that TikTok virality has replaced the runway as Gen Z’s high fashion style guide. (NYT)
