One viral Roblox game has gaming execs convinced Gen Z loves AI slop. “Steal a Brainrot” (a game filled with AI-generated meme characters) has become the first ever to surpass 25M concurrent players, and one CEO thinks this means Gen Z doesn’t care about quality anymore. That’s a bit of a jump though—just because millions are playing the free Roblox game doesn’t mean Gen Z actually wants AI replacing human voice actors in every video game. When AI voice actors voiced in Arc Raiders and AI-generated art stole from Studio Ghibli’s style in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 , both sparked massive backlash from gamers. As one reply perfectly put it: “Just because McDonald’s has thousands of locations doesn’t mean people don’t care about good food.” (Futurism)
