For Millennials who’ve traveled abroad, 59% have chosen their destination based on snacks, supermarket finds, or viral delicacies—and 70% set aside a separate budget just for buying unique snacks while away. Gen Z isn’t far behind, with 38% saying they’d rather dine on authentic French food than visit the Eiffel Tower. Social media is fueling the trend, turning everything from airport vending machines to 7-Eleven hauls into must-recreate moments. Whether it’s Dubai’s viral Kunafa chocolate, Japan’s limited-edition KitKats, or Chinese nostalgic snacks like Latiao, young travelers are literally crossing borders for a bite. (India Today)
