Taylor Swift’s new single is turning a museum visit into part of the fan experience for Germans. Since the music video of “The Fate of Ophelia” released, visitor numbers at Germany’s Wiesbaden State Museum have surged. Swifties are flocking to see Friedrich Heyser’s 1900 painting Ophelia, which inspired the video’s opening scene. A museum spokeswoman says they “are having an absolute Ophelia run at the moment,” adding that nearly 500 people visited in one weekend after the song dropped, all mostly teens. The museum has even planned a sold-out Swiftie tour, linking the painting to Swift’s lyrics. Because Gen Z’s cultural curiosity often begins with pop culture, this shows how fandom can be a powerful entry point to even education. (Vanity Fair)
