The “Culture College Tour” is tapping into Gen Z’s love for game days. YPulse’s Sports and Athletes Report shows 53% of college students are fans of college football. Many are obsessed with the rituals that come along with game day at their respective school—like tailgating parties, cheering on their team, and of course, capturing content for social media that shows off the fun they had. Culture Media, a creator-led media company aimed at Gen Z, is tapping into the hype with their “Culture College Tour,” visiting major football schools across the country. And while they’re not affiliated with ESPN’s College GameDay series, they are reinventing the Saturday tradition for a gen who often prefers short-form content over TV. The company describes the tour as a “hybrid between a road trip and a creator house” as they will rent a house for their talent (the Culture College Tour crew), letting them have a space to “hang with students, throw parties, and host tailgates” each game day. Culture Media’s COO says the goal is to turn each stop into “an action-packed flurry of social media content,” and “everyone knows they’ll be on-camera 24/7.” (Tubefilter)
