Taco Bell is once again tapping into Gen Z’s obsession with Y2K nostalgia. From McDonald’s reviving McDonaldland to Gap’s viral denim ad set to the 2003 hit “Milkshake,” brands are really leaning into early-2000’s throwbacks this year. YPulse’s Finance/ Spending Monitor shows fast food is the top small splurge young adults aren’t willing to give up, so special menus—and special prices—are definitely a “little treat.” (Food and Wine)
