Sprite Chill, the “coldest” drink from Coca-Cola, is here to stay thanks to Gen Z. Originally launched as a limited-time offering, the cherry-lime soda which features a cooling agent has been so successful that Coca-Cola is making it a permanent part of its lineup. (A rare feat.) The drink is getting the most love from Gen Z and Gen Alpha, which is even helping to fend off competition from PepsiCo’s Starry drink aimed at the same demo. On social media, Sprite Chill racked up 1.1B media impressions with 98% positive sentiment in its first year alone. And to keep the momentum going, the brand is teaming up with music platform Black House Radio and rolling out a strawberry-kiwi flavor exclusively at Walmart later this month. Gen Z treats soda as more of a little indulgence than an everyday thing, according to YPulse, and 53% of young consumers already think Coca-Cola is cool—Sprite Chill is just helping solidify that.
