After another plane crash, the internet reignited its fears about flying. According to USA Today, there have been 94 aviation accidents already in 2025. And after viral videos of yet another commercial airline plane crash, people have a lot to say about how scared they are to fly. The internet exploded with young people especially joking (and not joking) about this fear, as Gen Z always uses humor to cope with tragedy. While some tried to ease others’ worries, many took to X to crack jokes about sticking to road travel and avoiding the skies. But despite the joking tone, it’s clear that safety concerns are still top of mind for a lot of people, and could impact travel this year. (Mashable)
