The When Harry Met Sally sweater is popping up on TikTok for another winter. Inspired by the fisherman sweater worn in one scene of the iconic rom com (you know the one), creators are getting anywhere from hundreds or tens of thousands of views showing off their white cable knits. Videos of these sweaters have gotten tons of views every winter for the past couple of years, trending in the past thanks to Knives Out and Gilmore Girls. But they’re having another moment of popularity after Billy Crystal talked about the sweater on the Today Show in the fall. It also coincides with a brewing “fisherman aesthetic” trend Pinterest predicted for Gen Z in 2025. For the young gen, fashion can always be a reference, even if it’s a simple sweater reminiscent of one from a movie made before they were born. (msn)
