Kate Spade New York is launching a “pre-loved” program with ThreadUP. In celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary, shoppers will be able to “purchase and trade in secondhand products on its branded site using the ThredUp platform.” Those willing to trade in “gently used women’s and kids’ items from eligible brands,” will be awarded Kate Spade shopping credit. As more young consumers choose to shop sustainably, YPulse’s The Cause Conundrum trend report data shows that while 68% of young consumers agree their personal behavior has the potential to help stop climate change, they’re still holding brands accountable for their environmental impact.
