Goop and Lacoste’s new collab is appealing to both nostalgia and new fashion trends. Gwyneth Paltrow’s The Royal Tenenbaums character is coming to life in her lifestyle brand’s new capsule collection with sports-fashion label Lacoste. The collab is mainly “paying tribute to the Lacoste striped polo dress famously worn by Paltrow in the 2001 comedy,” but will also feature a range of other items that appeal to today’s #Tenniscore and preppy aesthetics like a “retro-inspired jumpsuit with puffed sleeves, a knit polo set, and court-ready mini skirts.” Although the film is over twenty years old, Paltrow’s character style aligns with some of this year’s biggest fashion trends.
