Burberry x Minecraft is the latest metaverse collab. British luxury brand Burberry has joined forces with the video game Minecraft to create physical and virtual collaboration—bringing fashion and gaming together for an immersive universe. The in-game adventure “Burberry: Freedom To Go Beyond”, and includes bespoke virtual garments with—you guessed it—the classic Burberry branding. The collection will be available on the Burberry website and in seven stores across the globe, including in hometown London. Young consumers have already taken a step into the metaverse—thanks to brand involvement, and digital clothing just so happens to be the product young gens are buying the most. The accessibility and affordability of digital luxury goods allow young Europeans to grab luxury products they’re interested in. By allowing young consumers to indulge in luxury products on Minecraft—which 41% of young Europeans play, and is a favourite amongst kids too—Burberry has managed is making their products more accessible to Gen Z and Millennials worldwide.
