Vogue is making a grand entrance this NYFW with the help of Snap’s AR tech. This week, Vogue is celebrating 130 years with their Vogue World event, backed by Snap’s custom AR lenses. “Attendees using the [Skywalk Lens] will see blossoming flowers emerging from the ground as models walk down the runway,” along with floating petals and moonbeams. For those who can’t attend the event, Vogue is ensuring they don’t miss out on the AR fun via the brand’s Snapchat profile, they can experience “daylight shimmers and moonlit reflections to user’s faces and let them put on their own fashion show and showcase their personal style.” Plus, Snap will power an AR try-on experience for users to experience ‘fits from the runway.
