Kinder World is a new mobile gaming app that’s fueling self-care and helping Gen Z relax. YPulse’s State of Mind trend research shows that since the pandemic, 74% of Gen Z and Millennials say they want to learn more about mindfulness and meditation. Lumi Interactive, a new women-led startup, felt the need to re-vamp these mobile spaces after finding, “When we actually interviewed users — especially Gen Z and [M]illennial women and nonbinary folks — we found that 97% had dropped out of apps like Headspace and Calm, citing they ‘felt like work’ or became another thing for them to fail at.” The company believes in the idea of sharing kindness through “self-care style gameplay” and they created Kinder World to be a space where players can participate in stress-free activities like watering houseplants, hanging out with animal neighbors, and decorating their own room with plants and other things that make them happy. Our data also shows 66% of Gen Z play online/mobile games to relieve stress. (TechCrunch)
