Millennials still trust financial advisors the most for financial advice, according to a survey. YPulse research found that Millennials trust financial advisors for good financial advice. And according to Natixis Investment Managers’ global study, which surveyed nearly 2,500 Millennials around the world, including more than 200 in the U.S. who have minimum investable assets of $100,000, 40% of Millennials are turning to financial advisors, while only 7% use automated advice, like robo-advisors or algorithms. The research found that nine in 10 Millennials say they trust their advisor for reliable information, while less than one-quarter trust social media. In North America, far more Millennials are likely to have financial advisors compared to the rest of the world, with 72% of Millennials citing they have advisors compared to 66% of Gen X. Natixis found that respondents in North America are “most interested” in financial planning and are saving for retirement early. (Advisor’s Edge, Business Wire) |
