Young Europeans are leaving their jobs to find work that makes a difference. YPulse explored The Great Resignation in our What’s Next for Work trend research, which digs into how the pandemic has provoked young workers to re-examine not only their jobs but their entire relationship with work. Our data shows that 40% of employed young Europeans plan to leave their current job in the next year, while 20% of Millennials have quit their jobs in the past year, with many doing so to search for more meaningful work. A report from Escape the City found that 89% of today’s young employees “want a career with a strong sense of purpose” compared to 71% in the pre Covid-19 world. (BBC)
