It’s every Christmas movie-lover’s dream come true: the Grinch’s cave and the Home Alone house are available to rent. Overlooking Who-ville just outside Boulder, Utah, the Grinch’s 5,700 square-foot cave hosted by vacation rental company Vacasa is appropriately decked out in his—and Max’s—favorite things, like his signature oversized pipe organ, a pantry stocked with Who-hash and roast beast, and Max’s drum. The lair’s furniture and decor look as if they popped straight out of a Dr. Seuss book, and in the words of the Grinch, “I don’t pay for fancy internet or cable,” so only a library full of books and a chess table are available for entertainment. The best part of all? Reservations cost $19.57 per night (the year Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas came out), and fans can book their stay starting tomorrow, December 3. Movie lovers are in for another holiday-themed getaway with Airbnb’s booby-trapped Home Alone house. Decorations and traps like the lawn jockey statue outside, paint cans dangling above the staircase, and a pet tarantula complete the home, and travelers can enter to win the one-night booking at the Chicago home starting December 7.
