McDonald’s latest London billboard doubles as a “walk-thru” window for customers on the go. As part of the brand’s “Fancy a McDonald’s” campaign, which celebrates “let[ting] go of life’s pressures and enjoy[ing] the company of friends and loved ones,” McDonald’s South Bank billboard serves McFlurrys out of a window set within the slogan, “Fancy a moment to just enjoy?” The dual-purpose ad brings the fast-food chain to commuters on the go as well as to those practicing social distancing and avoiding in-door spaces. The activation also helps bring in-person experiences back to young consumers after a long year-and-a-half of mostly virtual events, putting the brand at the forefront of the return to IRL experiences.
