Shein is launching a fashion reality TV show. The Chinese online fast fashion retailer now ranks as one of young consumers’ top three places to buy clothing according to YPulse’s most recent fashion and style research, and it’s bringing its influence to the reality TV biz for Shein x 100K Challenge. The Project Runway-esque series premieres August 22, and will be judged by fashion designer Christian Siriano, former J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons, Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach, and Khloé Kardashian. Emerging designers will compete for a top five spot in the competition, and finalists will be flown to LA for a “once-in-lifetime chance” to be mentored by the judges for the show’s final “Be You!” challenge—the winner of which will score a $100,000 grand prize. The four-episode series will be available for streaming on Shein’s social media pages and its app, and the designer looks from the series will be showcased in Shein’s fall/winter virtual fashion show.
