Millennial parents might be scrambling to shop for top toys this holiday season. Industry experts are predicting “the most frenetic scramble for presents in years” this Christmas, thanks to a “perfect storm” of high shipping costs and container shortages. These and other economic issues will create higher prices and less product on shelves, which means the most in-demand toys of the season will be harder to find than ever. While it’s too early to know what the hot holiday toy of 2021 will be, retailers say demand for Paw Patrol, stress toys, and Cocomelon are high. Last year, Millennial parents told YPulse they wanted to get their kids whatever they wanted for the holiday to make up for a bad year—a sentiment that might still be strong in 2021. (Guardian)
