Tessica Bown (a.k.a Gorilla Glue girl) is launching her own hair care brand. Earlier this year, when Brown went viral after her hair got stuck and had to get surgically removed after using Gorilla Glue, it sparked a conversation around the lack of awareness when it comes to Black hair care. Now, months after the viral moment, Brown is launching Forever Hair, a new haircare line that has been in development “for months.” So far, the line includes two products including an $18 Growth Stimulating Oil, which includes the ingredients of black cumin seed oil and biotin, and promises to increase “blood flow to the follicles promoting growth” and reduce “excessive shedding” and a $14 Forever Hold hairspray. According to Brown, she’s planning to add shampoos, detanglers, and bonnets to her collection in the future. (BuzzFeed News, Allure)
