YPulse’s Celebrities and Influencers research shows that 58% of young consumers have purchased something an online celebrity or influencer has recommended, and Etsy is tapping into the power of influencers by creating a tool that lets them house their favorite products in a collection that can be shared with their online communities. The platform is seeing steady demand among its 90 million active buyers, and the marketplace is hoping to bring in an even larger audience with the addition of influencer collections that lets creators show their audiences, “Here’s what I love on Etsy.” As pandemic shopping habits begin to shift, Etsy is prepared to attract more creators and buyers to its dynamic marketplace. More creators flocked to the platform to sell masks and other products that surged in demand due to the pandemic, and Etsy says they’re continuing to be a place that “is so responsive to consumer trends.” (CNBC)
