Gen Z is “getting screwed” by remote work. According to a Microsoft survey, 73% of employees hope remote work options would continue when the pandemic is over with some of Gen Z “slightly more” likely to apply for a job with remote choices. However, they’re more likely to report feeling stressed or struggling more than their older peers. Because they are younger and many are single, they “feel isolated,” and because they’re early in their careers, they don’t have the “financial means” to create an efficient workspace at home. Meanwhile, they’re also not having the in-person meetings that usually lead to “career advancing projects” or getting in good with their supervisors. (CNET)
