Hollister is donating millions of dollars and enlisting TikTok stars to help support teens’ mental health. As brands address young people’s mental health during the pandemic, and Hollister is the latest to do so. The Abercrombie & Fitch-owned brand announced that it will be donating $1 million to 20 nonprofits around the U.S. that are working to strengthen teens’ mental health and well-being. They’re also getting help from TikTok influencers and creators through virtual hour-long discussions on Zoom as a way for the stars and students to openly talk about their struggles. Some of the events include Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, who previously joined the brand for their back-to-school campaign, as well as Rebecca Black, Maggie Thurmon, Jack Wright, and Zahra, who will surprise around 300 high schoolers in the U.S. with “virtual mental wellness pop-ups.” They will coincide with Hollister’s second annual World Teen Mental Wellness Day, which they started last year with the National Day Calendar.
