| The young and unemployed are banding together on a new app to work through job hunting together. Job postings, interviews, and networks have all been “massively disrupted” by the pandemic leading young people to struggle with finding or maintaining a job. Another source of stress comes from companies “ghosting” prospective employees. Now, some are taking matters into their own hands: Cat Bradley and Meredith Perez launched UCandu, a job hunting platform (still in beta mode) that lets users track their process, give advice, share job leads, and offer general support for each other. They also host daily Slack meetings and weekly Zoom sessions for their “dozens” of users. Tracking is “a cornerstone” of the platform, which allows job seekers “to manage their search, end to end, and to input and share information and glean trends on why things might not be working out.” (Fortune) |
