The biggest online influencer convention is still happening, but with a “hybrid approach.” VidCon is one of the largest annual conventions for online creators and stars—and just like everyone else, they are finding ways to adjust during COVID. While other events have gone fully digital, VidCon is mixing in-person and online elements that include live casts, video chats, and virtual meets. They’re even unveiling a new logo for the convention that “ushers in a new era for the event.” While their old logo focused solely on YouTube, the revamped one will reflect “a new generation” that chooses between YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.
