Reese’s is sending robotic doors filled with free candy around neighborhoods for some socially distanced trick-or-treating. With many families and trick-or-treaters still planning on celebrating Halloween, brands have been finding ways to safely reach them—and Reese’s has pulled out all the stops for their social distance stunt. The brand has developed a voice-activated “Reese’s Trick-or-Treat Door” that hands out candy through its mail slot when someone says the magic words (“Trick-or-treat”). The nine-foot tall door has “motorized wheels” to enable it to travel through neighborhoods and is steered by a remote control as far as 5,000 feet away. (Thrillist, Mobile Marketer) |
